Pupil Premium is funding to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England.
Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.
The funding is used to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities achieve their full potential and to close the gap between them and their peers.
At Hollingwood our vision is to provide the very best opportunities for all our children, and especially those who require our support the most so that they become successful learners and confident individuals. We aim to prepare all children for the next stage of their education and for their adult life. We aim to provide disadvantaged children the same chances to succeed as their peers and diminish any differences in academic achievement and opportunity.
This statement details our school’s use of pupil premium funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils.
It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that last year’s spending of pupil premium had within our school.
