Computing

At Hollingwood, computing equips every child to use technology creatively, purposefully, and safely. From Early Years, pupils develop computational thinking through exploration and play, with learning built progressively across the curriculum. Computing is integrated into wider learning, helping pupils understand real-world applications, and is structured around Information Technology, Computer Science, and Digital Literacy. Regular revisiting strengthens programming and problem-solving skills. As a result, pupils leave confident in using a range of technologies to present, analyse, and solve problems, including writing and debugging algorithms. They understand how systems work and demonstrate strong awareness of online safety, becoming responsible and capable digital citizens.
