Modern Foreign Languages
At Hollingwood, our Modern Foreign Languages curriculum inspires pupils to develop curiosity about the wider world through learning Spanish. Pupils build confidence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while exploring language patterns, grammar, and accurate pronunciation. Through a carefully sequenced and inclusive curriculum, children revisit key vocabulary and develop communication skills progressively from Year 3 to Year 6. Cultural learning is woven throughout, helping pupils appreciate diversity and global traditions. Lessons are designed to ensure all pupils experience success and enjoyment. By the end of Key Stage 2, pupils are confident, resilient language learners with secure foundations for further language study at secondary school.
